Disabled Parking
Wednesday 21st May, 2008
We went to the supermarket to buy some provisions, and we saw a woman take advantage of the disabled parking spaces. This person was not disabled, and did not display a disabled sticker. I was quite enraged at this blatant show of bad manners and selfishness.
Why should this be of concern to me? Well my husband, battled with cancer, and NEVER once parked his car for his own convenience in a disabled spot. Indeed, although registered disabled he did not apply for a blue badge. He managed to walk slowly and took lots of stops to get his breath. I got him a wheelchair but he HATED using it - I think it was an image thing! Although the times I persuaded him to go in it, he agreed it saved him energy and enabled him to have short shopping trips without using all of his energy up for the day.

How rude of her. You should have told one of the supermarket staff, I don’t know if they would have done anything but it’s worth a try sometimes.
I should have told the supermarket staff, but that’s me all over - passive aggressive! I see these things, then fume about them at home! LOL! Thank you for visiting, and your kind comment.
